Arts and crafts
Part of the ground and first floors of Palazzo Dovara, accessed through the arcaded portico overlooking the square, has been transformed into a vibrant hub for businesses, workshops and community organisations committed to preserving local skills and traditions while promoting social innovation. The space is also home to the village's Tourist Information Point, providing visitors with a welcoming gateway to discover Isola Dovarese and the surrounding area.

MUSIC AND COMMUNITY
The Permanent Council of Italian Band Federations brings together the country's leading band federations, representing more than 1,000 concert bands united by a shared commitment to supporting and promoting this important cultural and social tradition. Through training programmes, events and professional support for member bands, the Council fosters the development and vitality of Italy's band movement. Its new headquarters at Palazzo Dovara in Isola Dovarese serves as a national operational hub, providing expertise, coordination and project development with an impact across the country. By connecting Isola Dovarese to national musical networks and strengthening collaboration with the concert bands of Cremona and Mantua, the initiative reinforces the village's cultural identity while encouraging wider participation in music and contributing to the social vitality of the local community.
WELLBEING AND BALANCE
Gocce d'Oro has created a permanent exhibition within Palazzo Dovara dedicated to the world of essential oils, accompanied by a selection of products and accessories that showcase their many applications in everyday life—from the home and the kitchen to personal care, wellbeing and emotional balance. Centred around the experience of essential oils, the programme includes live cooking demonstrations and tastings inspired by their aromas, alongside workshops exploring their use in promoting relaxation, relieving stress and enhancing concentration, often in combination with music therapy. The project also plays an important role in the revitalisation of the village and its community. Historically, the arcades of Palazzo Dovara were lined with workshops and small shops, lively places where people met to trade, converse and share everyday life. Today, Gocce d'Oro helps revive that tradition, transforming the palace once again into a welcoming space for encounter, discovery and wellbeing.
COMMUNITY AND SOLIDARITY
AUSER Cremona ODV works to build a more inclusive and supportive community by encouraging active participation, with particular attention to older adults and people in vulnerable situations. Through services such as accompanied transport, grocery delivery, friendly phone calls and social activities, the organisation helps improve the quality of life and wellbeing of many residents. One of its flagship initiatives is the Officina dell'Aiuto ("Workshop of Help") in Ca' d'Andrea, where volunteers collect, refurbish and distribute medical mobility and care equipment free of charge to those who need it. The project also includes the introduction of an environmentally friendly electric vehicle, providing practical support for everyday mobility while contributing to the sustainable development of the local area. The vehicle serves both residents and visitors, helping to make the villages more accessible and attractive, and operating as a shuttle service during community events, including the Palio delle Contrade.
CULTURE AND COMMUNITY
The Pro Loco of Isola Dovarese is dedicated to organising events that strengthen the spirit of community, encourage people to come together and keep alive the traditions that make the village such a vibrant destination. Through a rich programme of cultural initiatives, the association welcomes visitors while celebrating the identity of a small village with a remarkable heritage. The association also promotes the historical and cultural legacy of Isola Dovarese by organising guided tours of its principal landmarks and sharing the stories that have shaped the village over the centuries. As part of the regeneration of Palazzo Dovara, the Pro Loco now manages the village's Tourist Information Point, providing visitors with information, recommendations and practical support for discovering the area and its surroundings. To make Isola Dovarese more accessible to an international audience, the association is also expanding its online presence through a multilingual section of the Pro Loco website, dedicated to promoting the village, its cultural heritage and the unique identity of the surrounding territory.
